This premium steam-activated charcoal powder is made from the shell of a coconut and has been acid-washed for extra purity.  It is made by burning carbon-rich coconut shells at high temperatures to create a black, odourless charcoal. The charcoal is then activated by steaming it to create holes in the charcoal particles, thereby increasing its surface area and available binding sites. This activated charcoal is pH neutral and is perfectly safe for consumption.

Uses

Activated charcoal can be applied topically or ingested with food or drink. For topical application, add activated charcoal to your face masks and scrubs, as well as soaps and other personal care products. You can make your own homemade simple, whitening toothpaste by mixing a teaspoon with a small amount of water to create a paste, then dipping your toothbrush in and scrubbing away. Be warned that when using activated charcoal topically, it may stain fabrics and surfaces. Mix it through a glass of cold water with a squeeze of lemon as a morning detox drink, or add a little to your smoothie or porridge.
